A French patron saint who helped place Charles VII on the throne. A military expert who helped protect her country during the Hundred&#8217;s Years War. A feminist icon of self-empowerment and defiance of the patriarchy. She is a name of many accomplishments, and yet who she was as both Joan of Arc and simply Joan is lost to the ages. As time goes by, stories are told differently. Details change or are lost in translation. The song is part of her album &#8220;The Bard&#8221;, which talks a lot about self-identity and accomplishments throughout life in a folksy musical style. Madilyn Mei herself lives in Arizona and has become a popular artist among niche music communities.
